Eric K.T. Lau 劉昀泰 (Hong Kongese American, b.1986) is a multi-disciplined Photographic Artist, Creative Director & Art Director, born and raised in Hong Kong and moved to NYC in 2005. Eric was first hooked with photography after an advertising photoshoot. He studied studio photography while pursuing communication design in Parsons School of Design. Eric started photographing in the street since 2006, and had gone from DSLR to an old film camera, and finally using only his phone camera. His photographs has garnered over 40K followers on Instagram; featured in the Apple, NY Times, TimeOut New York, PSFK, South China Morning Post, Perspective Magazine, held numerous sharing internationally about his anti-gear approach for photography. His photo was exhibited at the Sotheby’s NYC in 2018 and named as the ‘Winning Artist’, and the photo was acquired by a prominent collector during first view. Eric’s work was exhibited internationally in 24 shows in NYC, Hong Kong, Italy and Taipei, including showing in public spaces such as the World Trade Center, Oculus and the Union Square.
